We are delighted to announce that Harpinder Collacott, the Chief Executive Officer of Development Initiatives, is to join our Board as Chair of Trustees in January 2022.
Harpinder Collacott has worked at Development Initiatives (DI) since 2012, and brings with her a wealth of governance experience, serving as a Board Trustee of WaterAid UK and vice-Chair of the UK umbrella body, BOND.
Harpinder will bring with her a broad range of experience of the international development sector and international affairs. Over the last 25 years, she has held a variety of roles including the Political Advisor to the Prosecutor with the War Crimes Tribunal for Sierra Leone, Human Rights Programme Officer for the Oak Foundation, and South Asia Researcher for the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in the US.
SOS Children’s Villages UK is the national branch of a global federation working in 136 countries and territories around the world. Our aim is to give every child the chance to grow up with the love and support of a family. SOS supports children separated from their families or at risk of separation from them, and we believe every child has the right to grow up in a safe and caring family environment, giving them the best chance of a secure future.
