SOS Children’s Villages operates in over 130 countries and territories across five continents, dedicated to supporting children who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it.

As the world’s largest charity focused on supporting and protecting these children, we take a locally driven approach, collaborating with governments, organisations, and communities to tailor our programmes to each unique context. This ensures that we can best meet the needs of each child and help them to grow up with the love, care and support they need to thrive.

We work around the world to keep families together, reunite children separated from their loved ones, protect those who have lost parental care, and help young people transition confidently into work.

Our response to emergencies

Our global presence means that during emergencies, including conflicts and natural disasters, we are uniquely positioned to respond swiftly and effectively.

We provide humanitarian aid, protect children from further harm and help them cope with trauma, bring families back together, and support communities to rebuild. We also work across the globe to increase resilience, helping communities to stay strong in the face of adversity.
