SOS Children’s Villages UK is partnering with the Childlight Global Child Safety Institute, an independent data institute working to end child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Through this partnership we will team up to safeguard children across the world, delivering a rights-based approach in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
By partnering with Childlight, we aim to use the insights and data from the institute to strengthen the impact of our global approach to safeguarding and child protection.
The work of SOS Children’s Villages reaches 7.7 million people across the world, across our 2,890 different programmes. So, in turn, we will act as a point of access for Childlight to our vast global networks, contacts and research.

Childlight is hosted by the University of Edinburgh and University of New South Wales and was established by Human Dignity Foundation.
The institute uses data to shine a light on the hidden pandemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse, working with governments, international organisations, law enforcement, the tech industry, charities, and young people worldwide, they aim to create safer spaces for children.
