Why has SOS Children’s Villages UK joined Red Line for Gaza?
As an organisation rooted in child rights and protection, we exist to ensure children and young people in the most vulnerable situations, have the love, support and care they need to thrive.
We do not take political sides or positions – we are always on the side of the children and young people we’re here for.
Without calling out the harm we see and standing up for the care, protection and rights of children and young people, our purpose can never be fulfilled.
Why Gaza?
There is a unique humanitarian emergency in Gaza. Over a million children are at severe risk of malnutrition, life-changing injuries, and death. By focusing on this crisis, Red Line for Gaza ensures that attention remains on the urgent need to protect children.
This focus does not ignore the suffering elsewhere in the region, but highlights the particular scale of devastation in Gaza and the immediate need for action.
How you can take part
- If you’re in the UK: sign up to send an email once a week to your MP. You can join at any time. Every email counts.
- If you’re outside the UK: you can’t email an MP, but you can share Red Line for Gaza on social media or send the campaign link to friends and networks.
- If you’re under 18: you can still write to your MP. Young people have a right to be heard by their representatives.
- If you represent an organisation: contact info@redlineforgaza.org.uk to access campaign assets or share posts created by partners.
