The second SOS Children's Village to open in Lebanon was in Sferai, near Saïda. Family houses are built in a traditional style, and home children who have nowhere else to live. Surrounded by cypresses and pine trees, the Village also has a sports ground, a playground, a house for retired SOS mothers and a children's club. There is also an SOS Nursery for young children, which is open to the surrounding community. Adolescents can move into our Youth Homes, and are supported to independence. During the Israeli occupation, SOS Children's Village Sferai was a peaceful haven offering support to neighbouring families.
We are currently refreshing all of our pages about Children's Villages. If you come back soon, you will find more information about our work in Sferai. Alternatively, you can get in touch.
