Sending your sponsored child a card or a gift this festive season
There are many ways in which you can share the festive spirit with your sponsored child, wherever you live.
Cards, letters and gifts should be sent via our National Office in the country where your sponsored child lives. You can find the address on the child profile you received when you set up your sponsorship or you can contact our Sponsorship Team using the details below.
Whilst we are grateful for your generosity, we advise against sending large or expensive gifts to your sponsored child, as these can go missing in the post or incur large customs duties at their destination. Similarly, your sponsored child will be sharing a home with their SOS brothers and sisters and not all of them are sent gifts by their sponsors on special occasions. We therefore suggest that gifts are kept small enough to fit within an envelope – things like stickers or hair clips are great ideas.
Instead of sending gifts through the post, many sponsors choose to donate a financial gift to their sponsored child via our UK office. We place 100% of donations received in the sponsored child's name in their personal savings account, which is given to them once they reach independence. Money gifts can be made online here.
You can send your money gift any time, but please remember to state in the 'special instructions' box that it is a gift for your sponsored child.
If you want to make contributions to your sponsored child’s savings account on a regular basis, why not set up a quarterly or annual Direct Debit instead. Again, please remember to state that it is a gift for your sponsored child.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact our Sponsorship Team on email@example.com or 01223 365589.
