Belén is located in Concepción, one of Paraguay's poorest provinces. Over half of the provincial population is under 14, and close to a third of children lack access to primary schools, while nearly 40% miss out on medical treatment. Our Medical Centre and Vocational Training Centre aim to fill this gap in provision, delivering key services to the area's most vulnerable families. We also care for lone children at our Children's Village, providing a new family and ongoing support to help them flourish in later life. Our SOS Training Farm helps youngsters learn to grow produce in an environment where agriculture is a mainstay of everyday life. By equipping them with these essential skills, we can be sure that they will be able to provide for their own families in an area where self-reliance is key.
