Penonomé is located about one hundred miles away from Panama's capital, on the Pan-American Highway, a major continental road network linking North to South America. Chronic joblessness leaves many families out of work. This makes our presence key to helping young people gain the skills they need to succeed in the world of work. Much of our Children's Village is given over to farming, allowing children to acclimatise to a mainstay of the local economy and job market from an early age. Children from our SOS Village have access to nearby local schools and medical facilities, and those wishing to pursue higher education attend the national university, which is also in close proximity.
This section of our website is undergoing a major update, so please come back soon to learn much more about our work in Penonomé. Find out more about our work throughout Panama.
