One million children at serious risk
SOS Children’s Emergency Appeal for the Sahel region of West Africa is helping families where drought and famine are putting millions of lives in danger.
It is estimated that 17 million people, including one million children, are at risk of malnutrition.
Children have been the first to suffer in the famine and as the crisis worsens, have a high chance of falling victim to an early death.
With a long-term presence in the Sahel drought region, we are well-positioned to respond to the food crisis. We are acting now to help thousands, by providing food packages and guidance for parents to ensure that they can meet their children's nutritional needs.
To help us with our important and life-saving work we need as many people as possible to make a contribution. Please consider sponsoring a child, making a regular donation or a one-off donation to our work.
