#GivingTuesday: A day to give back

This GivingTuesday, SOS Children is championing the extraordinary power of a mother’s love. On 1 December, help give children without parental care a loving mum. Join our #MumsMatter campaign to raise funds and awareness so no child has to grow up alone.

After making its debut in the United Kingdom in 2014, GivingTuesday is back for another year. On Tuesday, 1 December 2015, people around the world will use the internet and social media to raise awareness and money for the work charities do. This global day of giving is a chance to give back amidst the frenzy of Christmas consumerism. Last year, over 180 million got involved in GivingTuesday online.

What is SOS Children doing?

We need your support this GivingTuesday!  We’ll be raising funds to make sure all children can flourish and reach their full-potential. We know that the right support makes all the difference to a child’s future, which is why we’re focusing on mums.

Giving children the love of a mother is the core of what we do. We’re the world’s largest charity that focuses on helping orphaned and abandoned children.

We provide loving homes to children with no-one in 125 countries. Each family is headed by a local woman who has dedicated her life to raising orphaned and abandoned children with us. These women are our SOS mothers. Thanks to them, we loved, cared for, and supported over 60,000 children in 2014.
