What does it mean to be a mum?

What does it mean to be a mum?

Any mum will tell you that motherhood is one of life's great joys – but that doesn't make it easy. Krongtip knows this more than most. Over her two decades as an SOS mother in Thailand, she has cared for 34 children.

During that time, she has seen huge changes. She has raised eight of them to be monks and three to be soldiers. Five have married, and one has died. Through thick and thin, she has devoted her life to caring for the world's most vulnerable children.

In this moving video, Krongtip tells her story.
