Go that extra mile for SOS Children at the Silverstone 24!

Unfortunately, this event could not take place due to unforeseen circumstances. SOS Children is offering a unique and exhilarating fundraising experience at the first-ever Silverstone 24 event on 14th-15th September this year!

The Silverstone 24 is an epic challenge in which participants cycle for 24 hours around the iconic grand prix circuit at Silverstone, competing in relay teams of up to 4 members. Set deep in the countryside just a few miles from the historic town of Buckingham, the Silverstone circuit offers three-and-a-half miles of prime-condition track with stunning views over the English landscape.

The challenge itself promises to be a unique event. It is the first of its kind in the UK - the country’s only cycle event at the world-famous Silverstone Circuit. The fabulous conditions make the Silverstone 24 a challenge for amateurs and committed cyclists alike, with full accessibility enabling disabled participants to compete as well.

Participants will gain access to Silverstone’s prestigious new complex The Wing. Complete with catering hubs, social areas and free wi-fi, as well as showers and sleeping zones for weary competitors, The Wing offers the perfect setting to unwind while off the track.

As if things couldn’t get better, we have negotiated a special deal to boost the value of funds raised by SOS Children supporters. If we successfully enrol 50 people, the Silverstone 24 has agreed to donate £1500 to SOS Children, with more funds added for every additional participant after that!

What’s more, SOS Children supporters will pay less than half the standard entry rate. While the official fee is £600 per team (or £150 per person), SOS Children will subsidise those who enter on our behalf so that teams pay only £240 - that's £60 per individual!

The event is fully endorsed by the national group British Cycling, and offers a great experience for both individuals and employers, with networking, advertising opportunities, team-building and good fun offering something for everyone! Silverstone is just a short journey from the key transport centres of Northampton and Milton Keynes, and not far from the capital for those travelling a long way.

SOS Children works to support vulnerable children the world over, providing a loving and supportive home for those who have lost their parents as well as a much-needed helping hand to fragile families. The Silverstone 24 offers a fantastic and fun opportunity to support the vital work we do in 125 countries across the globe.
