SuperSport United, Tottenham Hotspur's South African Club Partners, made a special delivery on behalf of the Club to the SOS Children's Village in Rustenburg, South Africa, earlier this month.

Coinciding with the start of the new school term, the children in the Village received a delivery of education packs, dictionaries and stationary from Spurs. The gesture was part of the Club’s investment and support of SOS Children and the Children's Village in Rustenburg.

Tottenham Hotspur FC launched a partnership with both SuperSport United, as well as SOS Children, in 2007, and a joint academy has since been established between the two clubs.

The gifts were delivered by a number of the SuperSport United first team players, backroom staff and coaches including Technical Director of the Supersport/Tottenham Hotspur Academy, Eric Winstanley. He said: “Tottenham Hotspur has a special relationship with South Africa and has supported SOS Children’s Villages here for a number of years. It’s fantastic to see how much good can be done by a Club that is on the other side of the world and the children here certainly appreciate the benefits.”

Tottenham Hotspur helped fund and construct the SOS Children's Village in Rustenburg, South Africa, including the development of the Tottenham Hotspur House. The 'Spurs House', which is uniquely funded by monies received from players' fines, now provides orphaned children in Rustenburg with a family and an SOS mother they can call their own.
