Mums Matter
At SOS Children we’re all about providing love and care to the world’s
most vulnerable children, and with Mums Matter we want to spread that
message.
Parents, and especially mums, are an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on and a hand and heart to give the support, love and care that we just couldn’t imagine living without.
But millions of children around the world don’t have a mum to provide all of these things for them. Due to a variety of causes, including conflict, famine, natural disaster, disease and poverty, they are left to fend for themselves.
Our charity puts an end to the pain for thousands of these children
through a variety of projects, including providing a mum, a home and
brothers and sisters in our Children's Villages, and supporting
struggling families through our Family Strengthening Programmes. This ensures that these children are heard, loved and cared for,
educated and inspired.
Mums and caregivers are at the heart of everything that we stand for and Mums Matter will be helping us with the important work that we do making sure that children are loved and cared for by an SOS mother or a family member supported by SOS Children who will bring them up with the love, respect and the security they need.
