Virgin Money Giving and Justgiving are the two biggest online fundraising sites.  Here we give you an overview of why you should consider online fundraising if you haven't used one before, and explain why we believe Virgin Money Giving is currently the best online fundraising site to use.

Why fundraise using an online site?

Both Virgin Money Giving and Justgiving are easy to use.  You don't have to find your own information about SOS Children, you can find us on either site and automatically insert our charity background onto your page.  You can also provide information about who you are and what you aim to achieve, as well as a picture about your challenge or event.

Once you are ready to start fundraising, you can launch your page. When that's done, you can tell your friends about the event, spread it through Facebook and Twitter (don't feel guilty about asking friends to donate more than once!) and start to see your donations total get closer to its target.  Online donations are on average higher than offline donations, further helping you reach your fundraising aims.

Gift aid can be claimed from UK donors - increasing the value of donations by 23%. Once the page expires, the donations are paid to SOS Children and we send you a thank you.
