A whole host of celebrities have shown their support for World Orphan Week so why not join them?!

Georgie Henley, Chronicles of Narnia Actress

We are delighted to welcome back Georgie Henley who plays Lucy Pevensie in the 'Chronicles of Narnia' film series, as a WOW Ambasassdor. Georgie reprised her Narnia role in the sequels, 'The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian', and the future 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader' (due out in 2010).

Georgie says: "I can't imagine not having my family. To not have that support and love would just be so awful. Family is the most important thing in my life. That's why SOS Children is so important to me too. Every child deserves the same support and care that I have. So it means a lot to me to support SOS Children and World Orphan Week"

Phil Spencer, TV Presenter and SOS Children Ambassador

Phil Spencer, presenter of Channel 4’s ‘Location, Location, Location’  visited SOS Children’s Villages in Ghana in 2007, and has been an SOS Children Ambassador and World Orphan Week supporter ever since! You can read more about Phil’s trip to Ghana. 

Phil says “I have experienced SOS Children’s work first hand in Ghana and was truly inspired by what I saw. I will be asking everyone I know to support World Orphan Week”

Louise Minchin, BBC TV Presenter

T.V presenter Louise Minchin, who currently presents BBC Breakfast is passionate about World Orphan Week.

She says "I am delighted to be supporting SOS Children's  World Orphan Week. As a mum of two young children, I know how important it is for them to have someone to love and care for them and make them feel safe. SOS Children do this brilliantly all over the world, giving orphaned and abandoned children a family for life. So lets all get behind World Orphan Week!"

Jordan Parkinson, Singer and Teenage WOW Ambassador

Jordan, 16, is from Rochester in Kent. Hugely talented, he's been singing since he was nine and is sure to be a big star! He first became involved in WOW 2008 as a child model and was so inspired, he's been using his talent to help promote World Orphan Week ever since!

Together with his music management, Jordan has recorded the official WOW 2010 song 'For Once in My Life'. Jordan says "I hope I inspire other young people to get involved and make a difference. I have personal reasons why this charity is important to me and I hope that I will play a part in some way for many years to come."
