Some of the biggest names in music have confirmed they will be performing at a huge concert being held next month to raise awareness about Aids.
The 4664 HIV and Aids Awareness Concert, which will be held in South Africa's Johannesburg, will be one of five similar events being performed across the world.
Corinne Bailey Rae, Peter Gabriel and The Goo-Goo Dolls are all said to have given the gig the thumbs up along with US rap sensation Ludacris, Hiphopdx.com reports.
Named after Nelson Mandela's prison number, the music spectacular will also welcome the likes of local artists Johnny Clegg, the Soweto Gospel Choir, Just Jinjer and rock star Arno Carstens.
Bands including the Parlotones and Cassette and Jamali are also said to be gracing the stage while Danny K, Goldfish, Jozi, Louise Carver, Loyiso, Malaika, Prime Circle and Vusi Mahlasela are also rumoured to be in the pipeline.
Mahlasela told BuaNews after being asked to perform: "As a young and fragile democracy, we still have many pressing social issues and this shows that if we can do anything to raise further awareness around the HIV and Aids, we will conquer the disease."
The event will take place on December 1st World Aids Day.
