Last minute Christmas sponsorships

Child sponsorships make good Christmas presents, with educational value for children or as a real sign of thoughtfulness for grown-ups who care. They can be a double gift of love: once for the recipient and again for the child.

It is not too late to give friends, god children or relatives a child sponsorship this Christmas. We are very used to having one name and address to send sponsorship updates to and another name and address for financial queries (Giftaid declarations, credit card renewals etc.). 

Although we cannot guarantee from this date onwards to have a sponsorship pack ready for you to hand over on Christmas day we do have a certificate which you can download and print off. You could even do this as an emergency present early on Christmas morning (yes, people do). Please do not forgot to actually apply for a sponsorship if you use the certificate!

If you want to explain the fact that you are handing over a certificate and that the child sponsorship folder will not arrive until the New Year the "best excuse" is to say that you wanted the recipient to be able to choose the country where the sponsored child lives.  If you plan to do this, put "will advise on country" in the instructions box when you set the sponsorship up. The online secure forms are all carefully read by our office team and we will contact you if there is anything unclear.
