Sabaah with her SOS family

40-year-old Sabaah used to get up early in the morning to help her disabled father and also her mother who suffers from arthritis in their little home, which is located near to the SOS Children’s Village. That was 10 years ago.

When Sabaah was preparing to take her final school exams so she could go to university and study Chemistry to become a teacher, she always wished to have her own family, but the sudden death of her older brother has prevented all of this from happening. Due to this tragic accident, she had nervous breakdown and continued to help and look after her parents. But she did not give up hope.

8 years ago, Sabaah joined to the SOS Children’s Village to work as work as helper to of the SOS Children’s Village's mothers, to help her care for her large family in the Village. But at the end of every day, after she finishes her assigned duties, she goes back to her family’s house and spends an hour there to check on her parents and make sure they are ok.

After two years of working at the SOS Children’s Village, she got promoted to a mother and she was in charge and responsible of a large family. Sabaah also decided to get the High School final exam, and a year later, she passed the exam successfully. And then, Sabaah was able to attend a local university for remote learning to study psychology. She learned how to use the computer and she now passes on this knowledge to the children, and encourages them to read, play sports, and swim.

Sabbah passes her exams!
