Christmas Appeal 2009
Child sponsorship gift for Christmas
Not thought about what special gift for christmas you would like to give for Christmas? A Christmas present of a child sponsorship for loved ones or colleagues can easily be set up on our website. Maybe you would like to treat yourself and have that rewarding experience of sponsoring a child. On our secure web page for child sponsorship please use the special 'instructions' box to explain what you would like us to do.
After 15 December you may not receive a pack in time to hand over on Christmas day but we will send you a letter for the lucky recipient saying "a child has been sponsored for you and details will be sent very soon". It's special Christmas gift which is very personal and the details of their sponsored child would be sent early in the New Year.
Christmas Holiday festivities worldwide with SOS children
In the run up to this special day for children there's nothing that compares to seeing the delight on their faces; seeing them enjoy decorating the family home; helping the family prepare for the day's celebrations; making popular food...the list is endless.
The special time, spent together for the SOS families - the children and their SOS Mother - is precious.
Families come together, spending time with one another, singing, cooking, celebrating and enjoying the festivites. Be it celebrations in Zimbabwe; having Christmas wishes in Georgia; enjoying the Christmas holidays in Ghana or children's christmas stories from Nigeria and Venezuela.
You can of course, sponsor a child for Christmas, but additionally you might like to think about our free ecards or Christmas cards to help our work caring for over 78,000 children in need in 500 unique children's villages.
If you are thinking about something different look at our alternative charity gifts which are supporting children in Gambia. You can choose to support children through essential items for school or perhaps helping us provide clean water for children living at an SOS Children's Village.
