Child sponsorship update from the SOS Children's Village Sanothimi, Nepal from Winter 2008

Subject: A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009.

We are so excited and happy to write you this letter on this special season. At first we wish you a wonderful and lovely Christmas and New Year 2009.

We would like to take an opportunity to share our important strategy announced by SOS Children that within 2009-2016 we extend our services to 1 million children in the world so that they have an opportunity to grow in a caring family. For this, special announcement of the Strategy is:

“ONE CHILD, ONE FRIEND & ONE MOVEMENT”

We have confidence to meet this goal because our strength is you and you always motivate us to keep on doing good for many more children who have lost or are at risk of losing parental care. We always try to ensure quality and impact of our program. We are so thankful to your valuable support because you are the key person to achieve our goal successfully.

To help one million children in the world we need many more friends. We will remain thankful to your any endeavor to have many more friends for this movement.

Growing up at Sanothimi, Nepal

It is always an exciting and adorable moment for our children to celebrate the greatest festival Dashain and Tihar; and of course, a month long holiday which adds more joyful events in their festive mood. During this festival Children give their full support to their mothers for cleaning and decorating their homes, going shopping to buy new outfits and household stuffs with their mothers. This festival helps us to have a strong family bond with our children with blessing and love bestowed on every child by the elder member of the families. Children have just come out of festive mood and are back to their school with new enthusiasm.

23rd June is special for everyone who belongs to SOS and our children have celebrated SOS day and carried out the whole program by themselves. They performed cultural programs and sports. In this auspicious moment SOS Retired Mothers were honored by integrated children of SOS CV Sanothimi (X-SOS) with tokens of love.

One of our SOS Mother was awarded with SOS Ring the President of SOS Children. All SOS children and coworkers cheered up for her long contribution.

Within the passed six months a girl and a boy have got a new home in our SOS CV Sanothimi. They have good health and have been adjusted very well in their new families. They have started nursery school and love to learn new things.

Thank you very much for giving us an opportunity to share our activities with you. We all are grateful to your all endeavors to help our children in need. Once again SOS Family wishes you a lovely time with your family, friends and a loved ones in this special event.
