Eat out in Cambridge and raise money for SOS!
On the Tuesday 21 April, the Tang Chinese Restaurant in Napier Street, Cambridge will be donating 20% of every bill to SOS Children. Why not come with a group of friends or colleagues and enjoy a sumptuous all-you-can eat-buffet? (£12.99 for adults, £6.99 for children). All the money raised will go towards helping orphans in China.
SOS Children has been active in China since 1986 when the first SOS Children's community was built in Tianjin. There are now nine SOS Children Villages in China, which between them are home to over 1000 orphaned and abandoned children. Sadly, last May, China’s southwest province of Sichuan was struck by a disastrous earthquake which killed more than 68,000 people and caused more than 4.8 million to loose their homes. The earthquake caused some structural damage to the SOS Children's Village in Chengdu, which was just 130 km away from the epicentre. Some of the money raised from the evening will go towards the badly-needed repair work.
For more information call the Tang Chinese on 01223 357 187. *5.30pm-11.00pm, no other offers valid, booking is advisable.
